Qi Zhang, a Shandong man, serves as a painter, a calligrapher, a poet and also an art educator. In 1989, he graduated from the Fine Arts College of Shandong Qilu University of Technology, getting the Bachelor of Arts degree, and then teaching at his Alma Mater. In 1990, he completed all his courses in the oil painting class in the Central Academy of Fine Arts, being awarded as a professor. Since 1995, he has gone to the United States to further study as a visiting scholar. Qi Zhang, the founder of Qi Zhang Academy of Fine Arts, has been entitled as the guest professor by many colleges of fine arts. Moreover, he has been invited to many academic activities like lectures, academic exchanges and exhibitions. His art exhibitions and participation exhibitions have been held around the world, and his works have been collected by art lovers, galleries and art centers. His picture albums have been published many times in China and the United States. Also, he is a member of Oil Painters of America and Portrait Association.
